Native Foods Cafe Vegan Lobstah Roll Social Media Reel
While this was not officially asked for by Native Foods Cafe out of Palm Springs, my love for the restaurant and its delicious vegan menu inspired me to create this video, which was then passed on to Native Foods, where it was posted to their Facebook and Instagram reels and everyone loved it. It was meant as a silly, no-budget, incredibly quick turnaround project.
I'm also friends with the General Manager of the Palm Springs store, so I teamed up with her and her partner to create this silly little bit of poetry about their July 2022 special-- a vegan "lobster" roll, made with a clever heart of palm recipe to create a slightly sweet, tender experience that's fully vegan. The video stars the general manager as the lobster, and her partner as the Maine fisherman.
It was in the middle of the Palm Springs, California summer when this was shot, and on that day, the temperature was maxed out at around 112 degrees. This meant that we only had the opportunity to take two quick takes per location, with plenty of water, electrolytes and shade afterwards.
